can’t believe some of these… we’ve sure come a long way…

I’m not sure how often I’ll write here or even what direction it’s going to take, but I’m going to give it a shot… whatever is in my head will probably end up here – in some way, shape, or form…
Today I’m thinking about Glee. I’m one of those people who was expecting something totally different when I originally saw the preview for Glee – maybe a more “Fame” feel. Anyway, I was very disappointed after the first episode and didn’t watch it again until about a month ago… Needless to say – I am now hooked and I’m sure I’ll go back to the beginning of the series and see everything I’ve missed.
If you’ve ever watched “Glee”, you’re probably as fascinated with Sue Sylvester (the character Jane Lynch plays) as I am. She is so hard and unfeeling on the outside, but really totally different, and as we see glimpses into her private life we understand more and more about her. I recently read an article in which Jane Lynch lays out five things she feels you need to be more like Sue Sylvester – granted they are over the top, but we could all learn a few things from her – Except for maybe #3 and #5 🙂
1. Intensity – You need to have a constant hunger for that next fight.
2. Swagger – When you walk into a room, you need to be able to suck all of the energy out and take it all for yourself. All heads should turn the minute you enter a room.
3. Wardrobe – You need tracksuits, and they need to be in a variety of colors, and in each episode you must never, ever repeat. There should be three or four episodes between tracksuits.
4. Arrogance – You totally need to be in your own movie where you are acting, directing, and writing. If people’s responses to you aren’t what you wrote, you just ignore them.
5. Hair Fetish– I, Jane Lynch, have a thing about hair too. I have a little head, thin hair, and a fat ass. When the hair doesn’t have enough volume, the proportions just go off
The season finale is next week… Even though I know we’re all pulling for New Directions to walk all over Vocal Adrenaline, I also know there is no way for the story to stay on course if that happens — so, for at least this year, I am betting Vocal Adrenaline will triumph over New Directions at Regionals (or is it Sectionals?)… takers?
